The Department of Politics and International Relations, School of Social Science, University of Aberdeen, seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Comparative Politics. The successful candidate will contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with particular responsibility for leading our MSc in Energy Politics. Thus, expertise in the field of Energy Politics/Sustainability is essential.
The successful candidate will have completed their PhD in a relevant discipline and have experience of teaching and research in Politics and International Relations. They will be appointed in either the University of Aberdeen Teaching and Scholarship track or the Teaching and Research track. If appointed in the latter track, the successful candidate will be expected to have an established track record of research publications, an international research profile, and success in securing grant income.

The department of Politics and International Relations is a medium-sized Department within the School of Social Science with ambitious research and teaching agendas.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the University of Aberdeen’s Salary Structure as follows: Lecturer, Grade 7 (£44,414 - £52,841 per annum); Senior Lecturer, Grade 8 (£56,048 - £63,059 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
