The Student Recruitment and Admissions department are looking for an experienced Senior International Recruitment Officer to join our small but ambitious International Office. You will play an integral part in growing our international student recruitment numbers to meet bold targets, developing, and managing a range of recruitment pipelines.

A track record in international student recruitment, marketing and partnerships is essential to this role. Reporting directly to the Head of International Student Recruitment, you will need to need to evidence ability and experience of working independently and proactively on a range of projects, completing them on time and to specification. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to develop good working relationships with a range of colleagues.

In return, you will have a unique opportunity to develop and deliver a cohesive and impactful international student recruitment function that will genuinely transform the university. You will have the chance to identify business opportunities and risks and propose innovative solutions to steer our international student strategy.

Pay and Benefits

This role is linked to grade 7 on the UHI payscale.

The starting salary for this position will normally be in the range £38,110 per annum. For exceptional candidates a higher salary up to the top of the grade (currently £40,430 per annum) may be available.

This post is full time and will involve working 35 hours per week on a working pattern as agreed with your line manager.

The workplace pension scheme we provide to workers at grade six and above is the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS). This is a qualifying pension scheme, which means it meets or exceeds the government’s standards. Full information on the scheme can be found at www.uss.co.uk/Pages/default.aspx.

Full-time posts carry a total of 39 days leave per annum (pro rata for part-time posts). It is practice that, with the exception of a Christmas and New Year closure, leave may be taken at any time of year, subject to the requirements of the post and department and with the permission of your line manager.
