We are looking for an for clinical fellow in neurodegenerative diseases anchored at the UK National Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Research & Surveillance Unit (NCJDRSU), Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences (CCBS), University of Edinburgh. Applications are invited from candidates interested in any neuroscience related specialties with background experience ranging from completion of foundation training, specialist trainees in relevant specialities, and individuals seeking post CCT fellowship opportunities.
The opportunity:
The successful applicant will gain comprehensive training in the diagnosis, assessment, and management of people with a wide range of neurodegenerative disorders, including undertaking timely national clinical evaluations of patients with suspected prion disease referred to the NCJDRSU, and participating in clinics at the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic, University of Edinburgh. These posts have proven to be a highly effective springboard for higher research degrees, and clinical training positions in neuroscience related specialties. Post-holders will be given training in leadership, management, audit, quality improvement, and public engagement activities, and expected to lead on personal projects leading to presentations at professional meetings and publications.
