Leeds Trinity University has been investing heavily in its campus, both the physical estate and supporting infrastructure, with the development of a number of large-scale projects to improve the estate and its facilities for the benefit of both students and staff. The University is in the process of developing a campus masterplan that will see significant development across the estate over the coming years as well as repurposing of existing assets.
As such this role provides a fantastic and challenging opportunity for a professional that specialises in mechanical design and compliance work. The right candidate will work within a development team to support with the development of the University estate.
This role will play a pivotal part in the delivery, design and management of the infrastructure and will work alongside other appointed professionals in the development and improvement of the existing and new mechanical infrastructure as part of the masterplan. Such as new boiler sets, Air Source Heating, Improved BEMS system, VSD upgrades etc to name but a few.
Therefore, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support the University in the management and delivery of works relating to mechanical infrastructure and designing of mechanical installations and associated services across the University.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated with a keen eye for detail and good interpersonal skills. They will be responsible for assisting with the procurement and efficient management of supporting services relating to their position and to the operation, and development of these services across the estate. They will also be required to assist with monitoring of budgets and ensuring that all operations and development activities are provided at optimum cost efficiency.
