Job summary
The Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College is one of the largest Engineering Faculties in the UK, carrying out world-leading research in Aeronautics, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computing, Dyson School of Design Engineering, Earth Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Materials and Mechanical Engineering.
Duties and responsibilities
The College wishes to recruit a post-award Senior Research Services Administrator within the Faculty of Engineering. The main task of the role will be to provide specialised support to the closure process of research grants and contracts. The role will help coordinate the account closure activity across a varied portfolio of Research Funders including UK Research & Innovation, Other Governments Departments, European Commission, Industry and Charities. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a genuine interest in supporting scientific research to gain wide-ranging experience within a Higher Education environment.
Essential requirements
We are seeking an experienced professional, with strong interpersonal skills and substantial experience in research award management. The successful candidate will thrive in a busy environment, with the ability to analyse, problem solve and make a difference.
You will have proficient computer skills (excel, word, email), an eye for figures and be able to work to deadlines both independently and as part of a team. You will be committed to the delivery of customer services and have a “can do” approach.

The College is currently trialling a Work Location Framework until early 2023. Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
