Are you someone who is interested in supporting and growing the University of Surrey’s International Mobility programmes? We are looking for an individual to join our team in the International Engagement Office and support our strategic objectives to boost international mobility.

The International Engagement Office is responsible for the University-wide international mobility and student exchange partnerships and the administrative arrangements for outgoing and incoming students. Students are supported with grants funded through the UK Government’s Turing Scheme and the Office for Students (OfS). An important part of the International Engagement Strategy is to develop the range and extent of staff and student mobility, with a particular focus on students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds.

The International Mobility Officer will work closely with the International Mobility Manager and will have responsibility for leading a number of international mobility projects as well as building relationships with overseas institutional partners and programme providers. Working as part of a team, the post holder will provide advice and support to internal and external academics, students, professional services colleagues and key international partners on a wide range of activities delivered by the International Engagement Office. The post holder will actively contribute to the professional image of this increasingly visible department.

We work in a fast-paced and changing environment so we are looking for someone proactive and willing to contribute new ideas to an ever changing landscape, who is adaptable and ready to take on new challenges. The ideal candidate will have proven administrative experience and will be experienced in the field of international mobility with good knowledge of the requirements for Turing and Erasmus+. We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with excellent planning and organisational skills, an inclusive and collaborative approach and a passion for supporting students to fulfil their potential.

Please contact Elizabeth Lynch, International Mobility Manager, at e.lynch@surrey.ac.uk if you wish to discuss this role.
