The School of Design is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor with proven abilities to deliver world class teaching and research on the relationship between Graphic, Digital and Communication Design, Design Thinking, Human Centred Design and Digital Technologies. This may involve, but is not limited to, application to a range of design related sectors including, for example, Branding & Marketing, Retail & Fashion, Health & Education (to name only a few). The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership across the range of the School’s activities, enhance the School’s research and teaching activities, and work with colleagues to build on the School’s reputation for excellence in Graphic, Digital and Communication Design.
You will have a PhD in Graphic, Digital and Communication Design, or related area, have an established record of research publications commensurate with the level of the post, and a proven strategy for securing research funding and achieving internationally recognised standards of excellence. This appointment represents a major investment in the School’s commitment to the evolution and influence of graphic, digital and communication design research and innovation across all reseach and learning and teaching activities, and one offering considerable potential for personal career development and fulfilment.
