We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic student recruitment practitioner to support the University’s international recruitment goals as outlined in the University’s ambitious strategic plan. The successful candidate will join a team whose performance exceeds the sector average and they will be keen to continue to drive market development in the region. The International Officer will work closely with the Senior International Officer (Central and South Asia) and representatives based overseas in our India Office, working to promote Sussex as a study destination whilst being the market authority in the University.
The post holder will be professional, reliable and show a high level of initiative as they engage in a range of international recruitment and marketing activities. They will be flexible and enjoy travel overseas, undertaking multiple trips to the region for a total of up to 16 weeks annually.
The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator and relish the opportunity to work with stakeholders from across the region including prospective students, agent partners, school counsellors and alumni. Internally, key partners include academic colleagues and professional services including Marketing and Global Engagement.
We are looking for someone with an understanding of the issues relating to international student recruitment and business development and the ability to use this knowledge to ensure the effective implementation of our regional and University-wide strategy. Effective cross-cultural working will be important in this varied and exciting role, and the ability to identify opportunities and accrue market intelligence is key.
