We are looking to appoint a Clinical Trial Data Manager to join the Specialised Translational Research Oxford Neuromuscular Group (STRONG). Working within a trial research team, the successful candidate will work with full-stack developer on establishment of independent REDCap research databases on a university server, and monitor and manage active databases. You will ensure that quality data processing systems are in place across multiple clinical trials, and that trial data meets the standards of quality expected for reporting to regulatory bodies.
To apply for this role you must hold a degree in an IT or Life Sciences subject; have experience in developing, testing, implementing and maintaining trial data management systems, including in REDCap; have experience of using common data management systems and statistical packages such as Stata, Power BI, or others, to analyse clinical data; and have a working knowledge of SQL and of data capture and data sharing tools.
You must also have experience writing data management plans, SOPs and manuals; experience in data modelling of multiple many-to-many relationships using a common representation syntax (e.g. XML, relational database, directory); and proficiency in writing code for data import & manipulation, or proficiency in using a similar language (such as SAS, Stata or Python) for data import & manipulation and the ability to demonstrate that you can apply your knowledge to writing equivalent R code. A knowledge of good data management principles and regulatory and governance requirements for clinical trials is essential.
