Bangor Business School is seeking to appoint to a permanent full time Senior Lectureship in Finance. We welcome applicants with expertise in any area of finance, but are particularly seeking applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Financial Technology, Data Science in Finance, Financial Crime and Compliance, Sustainable and ethical investment and Green finance. Candidates should be, or have the potential to become, outstanding scholars, with evidence of high-quality research in progress and clearly defined plans for the next REF and beyond. Successful candidates will be expected to teach at all levels with some modules drawing on their research interests and expertise, and to contribute to postgraduate supervision.
The successful candidate will be educated to PhD (or close to the completion of) level expected to develop new modules across the Finance programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. They must have a flexible attitude to teaching and learning, with an ability to contribute to modules in the broader Finance area and to undertake postgraduate supervision.

The successful candidate will contribute proactively to Bangor’s ambitions as a sustainable university. This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
