Sheffield Hallam University is recruiting a Lecturer in Geographical Information Systems. The role has a strong focus on teaching students on Geography and Environment awards at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.
You will deliver a challenging and engaging learning experience to our students, and your ability to connect with a wide range of people will enable you to engage with both students and relevant professional environments to promote student learning in a real-world context.
In addition to teaching duties, the position offers an opportunity to engage in research activity, contributing to the well-established research profile of the Department. You will also be required to engage in the administration of relevant courses.
You must have an Honours degree, or equivalent professional qualification or experience in a relevant discipline and have well-developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to Geographical Information Systems. Prior experience of teaching, training or supervising students is also essential.
