Lecturer in Spanish (T&S; Grade 7) (0.5 fte, permanent)

We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Lecturer within our Languages team. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across our Spanish provision. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage with wider University and professional communities.

We are building an intellectually stimulating, inclusive, supportive and diverse academic community focussed on social justice and improving the lives of people, groups and communities at local, national and global levels. The successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in this academic community.

Your priorities will include:

  • Providing excellent teaching and learning experiences for students of Spanish in the School at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Participating in service and leadership activities.
  • Undertaking discipline-appropriate scholarship.
  • Contributing to public engagement, impact and enterprise activities.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Expertise in Spanish teaching.
  • Experience of providing high quality education to students in a formal educational context incorporating adult learners.
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and to help build a team ethos.
  • Interest and expertise in teaching and undertaking discipline-appropriate scholarship.
