About the Role
The School of Business and Management (SBM) seeks to recruit an inspirational teacher and educational leader as a Senior Lecturer in Business Law. This post offers an exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to the further development of the BSc Business and Law, the MSc Management, and the Department of Business and Society. Experienced candidates with a strong university teaching record are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will develop their innovative teaching practices in the field along with scholarship activities in a rapidly growing, diverse, and distinctive management school.
About You
As a Senior lecturer, you will be taking a significant leadership role as Director/Co-director of the BSc Business and Law as well as influencing colleagues on teaching and setting up new programmes.
You will have a doctorate in a relevant subject, a teaching qualification and will be, or willing to become, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. You will have the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of practice as well as a commitment to cross-disciplinary learning and scholarship-based teaching.
All applicants should have the ability to teach and supervise effectively across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Department of Business and Society in SBM, and to have proven expertise in teaching Company and Corporate law, including corporate social responsibility with emphasis on ESG.
We are looking for someone with a keen interest and expertise in new methods of pedagogical engagement suited to our diverse cohorts of students. We also appreciate expertise in engaging large numbers of students and delivering successful pedagogy with large cohorts. In addition, we value experience and expertise in engaging in student entrepreneurship and other enterprising initiatives.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date of 1st January 2024 (or earlier). The starting salary will be Grade 7 in the range of £61,986 - £69,114 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
