The BSc Product Design & Innovation Course
Students on our 4-year course learn to harness their creative, artistic, and problem-solving skills by gaining an understanding of technology and materials, and a sensitive awareness of human needs and behaviour through user-centred design. They learn to combine these abilities to create products that satisfy, even delight, users, while acquiring an understanding of Product Design from both an engineering and a marketing point of view.
The course is highly practical, with an emphasis on project-based learning, workshops, laboratory sessions, and group work. A six-month, full-time, work experience placement in a relevant employment setting ensures that knowledge gained through coursework is consolidated into real-life experience.
