At the University of Nottingham we are seeking a enthusiastic team leader to join the Executive Services team within the Registrar’s Department.
We are looking for an Executive Operations Manager, with a passion for delivering high quality professional executive services, to manage the Executive and Registrar’s offices. You will be leading a team of executive assistants and delivering divisional and departmental wide functions and initiatives such as staff engagement and the maintenance of records like declarations of interest.
Organisation and continuous improvement skills and experience will be strong threads running throughout your career and you will have had previous experience of working to a senior executive as an executive assistant.
An enthusiasm for, and understanding of, how best to lead a team and well developed line management skills are essential to this role.
As part of the role, you will use your initiative on a daily basis to overcome day-to-day challenges, whilst keeping seamless service delivery in mind when making decisions. The role relies heavily on strong relationships with stakeholders including senior executive across the organisation and the ability to build and maintain this rapport is critical to success.
What if you don’t meet every single requirement of the person specification? We would encourage you to apply anyway. Whilst it is likely that the successful candidate does have experience in a number of the required areas, your aptitude, motivation and delivery focus are just as important as your current skill set. We know that a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace is not only a better place to work but also produces higher quality solutions and delivers better service. We also know that some groups of people are less likely to apply for a role unless they meet 100% of the person specification. Whoever you are, if this job interests you, we encourage you to apply.
The post is offered on a permanent, full time (36.25 hours per week) contract. Job share arrangements may be considered.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Rowena Hall at ROWENA.HALL@NOTTINGHAM.AC.UK. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
