Applications are invited to the above role to provide timely and high-quality technical support to Teaching in the School of Life Sciences. The role holder will be responsible for maintaining a clean environment with a high standard of housekeeping within the teaching laboratory areas while monitoring stock levels of basic equipment and supplies. The role holder must also have an understanding of good laboratory practice and skills in manual dexterity.
The successful candidate will work in a team, closely with academic and technical staff to support the provision of practical classes for undergraduate students.
We are seeking candidates that adopt a methodical approach to working in order to achieve work deadlines, have good communication skills and an understanding of health and safety.
Applicants must have the ability to lift and move objects as this role will involve storing and moving consumables and equipment regularly.
Previous experience working with animal tissue would be desirable.
The post is offered on a permanent, full time contract (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
