Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are seeking an outstanding academic leader at the Associate Professor level to direct our research, teaching, and service activities in Global Studies. We are interested in appointing a leading transdisciplinary scholar whose scholarly activities contribute to any of the four major streams within the degree: global politics and human rights, environment and sustainability, international business, and transnational cultures.
Key responsibilities in the role include:
Launched in 2018, Auckland’s Global Studies Programme is the oldest in Aotearoa New Zealand and the largest in terms of enrollments and degree offerings in the Southern Hemisphere. Global Studies at Auckland includes a 650+ undergraduate student community, a rapidly growing Masters degree, a newly launched PhD in Global Studies, and the appointed candidate will contribute to supervision at the doctoral and sub-doctoral levels. This is a fulltime (40 hours per week), permanent opportunity.
The remuneration is from $151,752 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
