The Role
Would you like to gain experience running experiments with novel biomedical technology?
The Microsystems group based in the School of Engineering at Newcastle University would like to hire a Research Assistant/Associate. The successful candidate will work with a team of biomedical engineers during the validation phase of a multidisciplinary project to test newly developed prototype devices.
The applicant will contribute to an NIHR funded project which will validate the effectiveness of an intervention intended to improve upper-limb prosthesis control. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of running experiments with human participants, and have knowledge and understanding of current clinical standards in upper-limb myoelectric prostheses. The successful candidate will be expected to run experiments with participants with upper-limb loss and will contribute to the analysis and any resultant data. The role is likely to involve a significant amount of travel within the UK. The hiring manager will discuss the requirements of the role, should you be invited to interview.
