This fixed term post (12 months) is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to contribute to facilitating and supporting the interface between apprentices, employers and the academic team on the FdSc nursing associate and BSc (Hons) nursing degree apprenticeship courses in the Three Counties School of Nursing and Midwifery. This is also an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop skills and experience of the delivery of NMC apprenticeship courses within higher education.
The successful candidate will work within a dedicated academic team with responsibility for delivering pre-registration apprenticeship courses to satisfy the requirements of the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education Standards (IFATE) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
The candidate will therefore be required to develop and contribute to the learning and teaching agenda for apprenticeships, with an emphasis on supporting apprenticeship compliance through supporting Individual Learner Progress review meetings, maintenance of effective channels of communication with employers, the academic team and apprentices and support for practice learning. The post holder will be able to inspire and motivate apprentices, colleagues and employers and be committed to compliance with the regulatory and quality assurance processes for occupational apprenticeships through collaborative working practices from recruitment through to apprenticeship award.
The Three Counties School of Nursing and Midwifery upholds the University mission to inspire those who teach and those who learn, in an inclusive way which reflects a collective commitment to equip students/apprentices and staff with the skills, knowledge and aptitude to make a positive impact on the health of individuals, populations and communities we serve. The postholder will therefore be provided with the opportunity to advance their professional development to meet the needs of the post and objectives of the school.
