An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Laboratory Technician to join the teaching technical team working in the Faculty of Science.
Key duties of the role include:
Working within a busy undergraduate laboratory in the Faculty of Science, the focus of the post will centre on provision for the Schools of Chemistry and Pharmacy. You will be part of a team of technicians responsible for all aspects of technical support for the laboratory to necessitate the smooth running of undergraduate sessions and high level of service.
You will have proven experience of working in a laboratory environment and must possess a thorough understanding of laboratory safety issues and good laboratory practice. You must have a minimum of 3 A Level passes (or equivalent qualification) to include a Science subject; or one of the following in a relevant field: Honours Degree, recognised apprenticeship, BTEC Certificate or Diploma, HNC or HND.
This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis and will be campus based.
