Opportunity
The University of Salford has an exciting opportunity to join the University’s Funding Development Team in the role of Research Support Officer to assist in the delivery of the University’s ambitious Innovation Strategy. Based in the Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate, you will provide support to academic colleagues developing applications for external research funding.
The postholder will have experience of providing excellent service and support in a similar administrative role. A substantial part of the role will involve working with academic colleagues to support the creation of appropriate budgets in line with funders’ expectations and the University’s funding application submission processes. Therefore, strong numeracy skills are important. The postholder will have responsibility for maintaining accurate data on Worktribe (the University’s research management system), using this to produce monitoring reports as required by the Head of Funding Development. The postholder will also have a close working relationship with the Research Contracts and Monitoring Office in Finance.
