The role

We are currently recruiting for a part-time Personal Assistant to the Associate Dean Curriculum and Quality Assurance, and to the Associate Dean Learning and Teaching. The role holder will provide a confidential, high quality and effective personal assistant service to the Associate Deans, ensuring that tasks within their portfolios are completed professionally and to deadlines.

The role will involve extensive diary management including liaising with pan-University colleagues and co-ordination of arrangements for meetings, seminars and conferences. The role holder will provide secretarial support for meetings including taking minutes and action notes and provide support for ad hoc projects within the Associate Dean portfolio.

The role holder will be part of a wider Faculty PA/Secretarial team and will be required to cover for the absences of team members in other departments.

Skills and Experience

To be effective in the role you will have excellent communication skills, demonstrable experience of working collaboratively and the ability to be proactive and use your initiative. We would like to hear from applicants with evidence of successful secretarial and administrative work experience at a similar level to this post.

You will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to plan and prioritise your own work, often managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously, while supporting senior managers to prioritise their own workload and diary.

The role requires someone who is flexible, adaptable and responsive to changing duties and working practices.

Excellent IT skills are required including a high level of competency in Microsoft Office suite applications.
