The University for the Creative Arts International College (UCAIC) has a unique and diverse English portfolio running across three campuses (Farnham, Epsom and Canterbury). In-Sessional English in each campus has specific subject area focus, Business in Epsom, Art and Design in Farnham, providing In-Sessional English support to all UCAIC students.
UCAIC is looking to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring English for Academic Purposes (EAP) tutor. The appointed tutor will work closely with the In-Sessional EAP Lead to deliver the In-Sessional English on the Epsom and Farnham campuses and ensure that the In-Sessional English delivery is carried out under the mission, policies and regulations of the University and School strategic plans.
You will have a good degree, preferably with a master’s degree, and CELTA or DELTA. PGCert teaching qualification is highly desirable and/or experience teaching and supporting students, including with online technologies. We are looking for someone who is collaborative and creative, with the ability to communicate supportively, clearly and appropriately with staff and students from diverse backgrounds.
This role requires working at two different campuses and two different syllabuses therefore applicants with the right experience seeking to work part time at only one of the campuses will be considered.
At UCA, creativity and innovation are at the heart of what we do. Our legacy of educating eager and passionate artists, makers and thinkers runs back almost 160 years, and today we’re helping shape a global future that supports and nourishes talent worldwide.
Our campuses across Surrey and Kent are vibrant communities, each specialising in different areas of the creative industries. We are also home to a thriving research hub, with academic experts and fellows leading the way in research on sustainability, design, textiles, animation, history and culture, and more.
Are you ready to share your passion for creativity with the next generation of innovators? If so, we want to hear from you.
