About the vacancy: This role is based in the library’s Collections team, with responsibility for managing a team of support staff working in the Digitisation and Document Delivery section. You will be working to provide digitised copies of course readings to students through UWE’s reading list system, as well as managing a busy inter-library loan service, and converting texts into alternative formats for students with disabilities. As Collections Support Librarian, you will be involved in a number of varied and fast moving projects to support the delivery of core content to students, academic staff and researchers.
This role is perfect for qualified librarians who want to immerse themselves in a busy and dynamic team, working to provide innovative solutions in the changing world of academic librarianship. You will have the opportunity to deliver process improvement projects, supervise staff, and develop and deliver briefings and training to staff on a variety of topics.
In Library, Careers and Inclusivity we expect everyone to spend more of their time working from our campuses than remotely. In this role you can expect to be campus based for a minimum of 60% of your time with the opportunity for hybrid working the remainder of the time as agreed with your line manager in line with our business needs.

This role is fixed-term, maternity cover until November 2024 or until earlier return of the substantive post holder, working 18.5 hours per week.
