Applications are invited for a post-doctoral fellow, in the group of Dr Ingo Greger, to undertake research into the structural pharmacology of AMPA glutamate receptor complexes using structural biology approaches (cryo-EM).
The successful applicant will work in the laboratory of Dr Ingo Greger, in collaboration with Astra Zeneca (Cambridge), to investigate the therapeutic potential of AMPA receptor/auxiliary subunit complexes. Specifically, the post holder will use cryo-EM to investigate the interaction of AMPA receptor complexes with novel modulatory drugs. This project builds on our recent structural and functional work (Herguedas et al., Science 2016 & 2019; Zhang et al., Nature 2021 & 2023; Zhang et al., Nature Comms. 2023).
