Exciting Opportunities in Genetics, Genomics and Data Science Research in Exeter – faculty positions available at all levels

The Department of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences is recruiting broadly to expand its genetics and data science research capacity as a result of substantial investment and recent grant successes. We are now inviting passionate, dedicated individuals to join us in Exeter to make further significant impacts in genomic medicine.

We are at the forefront of genetics and data science research, offering a vibrant research environment with cutting-edge facilities for human genomics research. Available Positions:

  • Professor in Human Genetics: Are you a leader in human genetics? Join us in a prominent role to lead and shape our research initiatives. This is a key strategic position for the Department and we are seeking applicants with an outstanding track record of research and vision in human genomics, and a commitment to extending its impact on health.
  • Lecturer and Senior Lecturer: We are offering permanent academic positions at different levels, providing you with the platform to contribute and grow in our dynamic academic community.
  • Research Opportunities: Explore research-only positions, from Graduate Research Assistant to Postdoctoral Research Fellow, and be part of the exciting projects generated by our recent grant successes.

Salary

  • Professor: The position offers a competitive starting salary.
  • Senior Lecturer: The starting salary will be from £49,794 on Grade (G), depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Lecturer: The starting salary will be from £41,732 on Grade (F), depending on qualifications and experience.

Research in CBS is focused on understanding the mechanisms and treatment of human disease and has an exceptional record in human genomics research. You will join a vibrant community of scientists and clinicians with expertise in genetic epidemiology, epigenetics, data science, and cell biology working on a range of human conditions including mental illness, dementia, diabetes, reproductive health, obesity, respiratory disease, and cancer.
