Would you like a rewarding job where you can play a part in improving student experience and outcomes? We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Systems Analyst to join the University of Nottingham’s Learning Systems Team within the Learning Technology Section.
We are responsible for developing and maintaining the University's Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) and other applications used to support our teaching and learning activities. This role is an excellent opportunity to help Learning Technologies with its goal of enabling the teaching staff to deliver world-class learning opportunities to our students. We recognise that a team with varied backgrounds and experiences produces better solutions for use in teaching and learning on a global campus and a more supportive workplace. We are particularly keen to receive applications from groups who are currently underrepresented within our team, such as women and racially minoritised people.
What you will do
You will work as part of a cross-functional team helping to understand and prioritise the demand from University Strategic projects, user requests and Business-as-usual work. Ensuring that it’s clear what the most impactful and essential work is for the team to start on next. Working closely with Faculty and School Support and relevant Teaching and Learning boards to build relationships to understand how we can improve our systems for teaching academics and students.
You will work alongside the rest of the development team and our Faculty and School Support colleagues to produce creative, robust solutions with a user-centred approach.
About you
You will have experience working in a team environment using modern analytical practices. You will be a proven innovator who can bring your skills and experiences to the prioritisation and roadmap of development projects across our systems portfolio. You will collaborate effectively with stakeholders to shape the tech environment and achieve ambitious institutional goals in a rapidly evolving edtech landscape.
This is a permanent, full-time position (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
Don’t meet every single requirement? We know many people won’t apply for a role unless they meet every part of a job. If you are excited by the opportunities of this role, but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement, you should still apply; you may be the right candidate.
What we can offer
Hybrid working arrangements with a blended office and home working approach each week. You will be based at King’s Meadow campus but may occasionally need to visit one of our other Nottingham sites.
As a university, we are committed to providing generous employment packages whilst supporting the well-being of our staff to help you reach your full potential.
