This post is full time and is fixed term for up to 2 years.
We have an opportunity for a Research Associate to make a leading contribution to the ESRC SDAI funded project ‘developing and exploring methods to understand human-nature interactions in urban areas using new forms of big data‘. The post holder will also contribute to research and data service activities of the UKRI-ESRC-funded Urban Big Data Centre (UBDC).
Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in the area of spatial data science, particularly as applied to the analysis of human-nature interactions and mobility using mobile phone GPS data.
The post holder will play a leading role in the production of research publications and research proposals, and contribute to the development of UBDC’s Digital Footprints Data Service as well as help manage and direct complex and challenging projects, as opportunities allow.
