The Welsh School of Architecture of Cardiff University is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team and work with Prof Zhiwen Luo on our cutting-edge project focused on dairy cow heat stress and building microclimate. This project is funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) collaborating with several other universities in the UK.
At the heart of our project lies a crucial mission - to unravel the mysteries of heat stress in dairy buildings, both in today's climate and the changing climate of the future. We are dedicated to pioneering novel architectural and building design solutions that will mitigate the risks associated with overheating. As a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA), your primary role will be to lead the development of overheating resilient livestock building designs. As part of our dynamic research team, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with experts from diverse disciplines, including animal science and behavior science. Our collaborative efforts extend beyond Cardiff University, encompassing esteemed partners at the University of Reading, University of Essex, and Writtle University College.
