Do you have what it takes to support Alumni Volunteering at the University of Nottingham?
‘Being a Faculty Alumni Volunteering Manager is all about relationship building, and that's the aspect of this job I love the most. I enjoy working with members of the faculty to understand their needs and getting to know our enthusiastic volunteers as we work together to help fulfil those needs. Be that through student experience initiatives, contributions to teaching and learning, or supporting the research and reputation of the University. My greatest sense of achievement comes from delivering activity that I know has both benefited my faculty and has also been a positive and meaningful experience for the volunteer.’
We are looking for a Faculty Alumni Volunteering Manager who can maximise volunteering contributions, by supporting volunteer management processes including asking, supporting activity, thanking and stewarding. Within this unique role focussing on relationship management you will harness time, expertise and influence of alumni, volunteers, advocates and other friends specifically for the Faculty of Science (FoS).
You will provide support based on practical and theoretical knowledge of alumni/customer relations and volunteering to ensure the partnership of FoS and the Campaign and Alumni Relations Office achieves our objectives of increasing levels of advocacy, volunteering and philanthropic funding.
We welcome applications from everyone and value varied perspectives and experiences a diverse team can bring. We share a passion for relationship management to support student experience, bringing different ideas to support our students, volunteers and staff who come from a mix of cultures and backgrounds to inspire and support the UoN Community.
The post is offered on a fixed term contract, to cover maternity leave. The post is available from 1 March 2024 until 1 March 2025. Hours of work are 21.75 hours per week. Applications are invited for the above post based across our Nottingham campuses working in a hybrid working team.
We are committed to competitive employment packages whilst supporting the well-being of our staff. As a University employee, you will have access to a range of benefits and rewards, including leading fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and a highly attractive pension scheme.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Rachael Green, Head of Alumni Volunteering, tel: +44 (0)7580697961 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
