Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position in the Department of Oncology of the University of Cambridge. The successful applicant will work to support the research activities in the laboratory of Dr Daniel Munoz-Espin, Group Leader at Early Cancer Institute (ECI) and co-Director of the Thoracic Cancer Programme.
Dr Munoz-Espin's research programme aims to understand the mechanisms and processes that contribute to lung cancer initiation and progression, and how to use this knowledge for the development of more efficient therapeutic strategies in precision medicine. The role holder will be responsible for supporting research projects and will work within a larger group of PhD students and Postdocs. The successful applicant will be considered for publication authorships resulting from their work, and will have active access to genetically-engineered murine models of lung cancer, cellular cancer models, and also to primary cells from human tissue samples in collaboration with Royal Papworth Hospital and Cambridge University Hospitals.
