Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Wide-Field Extragalactic Archaeology. The successful candidate will join the research group of Prof. Annette Ferguson at the Institute for Astronomy, which is part of the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Edinburgh.
The research goal of the position is to use wide-field photometric data to study the archaeological record in nearby galaxies. The successful candidate will exploit observational datasets from Subaru’s Hyper Suprime-Cam and the CFHT’s MegaCam to conduct analyses of stellar halos and globular cluster systems, and place constraints on galaxy assembly histories.
