An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide strategic leadership to several student advice teams at the University of Bath within the Student Support and Safeguarding Department.
The role involves line management of diverse teams as well as setting strategic plans and ensuring an exceptional student experience for all of our many student groups who engage with support. This ranges from support for disabled students to broad student support advice across the entire student lifecycle, where you'd be joining well-established teams who are relied upon by thousands of students every year. Our outcomes are transformational for students and this role represents a chance to make a meaningful impact upon students' lives.
The role allows you to be creative and draw insights from data to shape the current and future service delivery as well as lead operational departmental support.
The right person for the role will be someone who cares about student life and experience, has experience of managing teams, is an inclusive and authentic leader, and is motivated by the opportunities that leading large teams afford. We want someone who is driven, committed and has insight into the needs of student support at the University of Bath both now and in the future.
Student Support and Safeguarding is an incredibly rewarding place to work. We are a progressive and busy department, providing non-academic support to students throughout their time at Bath, across time zones, modes of study and with whatever life experience our students have. This friendly and professional, large team is relied upon to provide high quality, timely support to students, as well as deliver preventative and proactive work to ensure an exceptional experience for all our students, enabling them to go on to tackle global challenges and deliver meaningful change in the world.
This is a full-time role but consideration will be given to part-time work (minimum 0.8 fte).
You will receive and on-call allowance of a 4.5% enhancement to your annual salary.
A basic DBS is required for this role.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact Alice Ludgate, Director of Student Support and Safeguarding (email@example.com).
