The University of Salford is now looking for an enthusiastic Student Progression Assistant!
Enabling students to succeed is the cornerstone of our provision here at Salford Business School. One key measure of success for students is seeing out their studies through to graduation, ultimately gaining a degree and the skills needed to go out and achieve their goals. The Business School are looking for two fixed term Student Progression Assistants to support this work.
Alongside a supportive team of academics and professional service colleagues, the Student Progression Assistants play a key role in supporting student retention by accessing data around engagement. As experts in university policy and procedures, they are a key in school contact for students who find they are struggling with their studies.
The Student Progression Administrators are a crucial link with university central services such as Counselling and Wellbeing – helping to ensure our students get the tailored support they need to succeed. They are the main team in the school who provide pastoral support and advice.
The Student Progression Administrators report directly to the Student Experience Manager in the school and are the core element of the student experience team in the Business School. It’s an exciting time to join the team, as we look to innovate and bolster our student experience provision in the school. The focus is on proactive rather than reactive work, and we are investing in this area to make that a firm focus.
