We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Second Chef/Deputy Head Chef to work in the Aspire Cafe which is based on our Jubilee Campus. The Aspire Café has a busy morning and lunchtime trade. The menu includes a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes that are served to order. As the Senior Chef within the area, you will be responsible for the supervision of a small team, food preparation and production, stock control and food hygiene practices. You also will also ensure a high quality and consistent product is delivered to our customers at all times. You will be a positive contributor to future menu ideas and enjoy being part of a motivated and positive team.

Candidates should be qualified to 706 1/ 2 or NVQ 1/2 in Food Production, or have substantial relevant experience gained within a similar large scale catering environment. You will also have excellent cooking skills and considerable supervisory experience. Knowledge of a range of Microsoft Office products and experience of stock management is also essential for this role.

This is a permanent, full time post. Hours of work are 36.25 per week, worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged, mainly Monday to Friday between 6:30am -2.45pm Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends will be required. Arrangements for job share may be considered.
