Job details

The School of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Central Lancashire has developed a very successful theme of Medical Education and Leadership Research and Teaching. As the Post Graduate Medical Education Programmes expand and develop, there is a need for staff to assist in the delivery of the programme(s), particularly as it moves out to a global community.

The school therefore wishes to appoint a part time Senior Lecturer in Medical Education to support the development of the Post Graduate educational provision predominately in Medical Education and take the lead for the delivery, quality assurance and assessment of credit bearing courses in this area.

This role is on an indefinite basis and will assist us in the delivery to our growing post graduate student population.

The successful candidate will hold a higher degree in an area related to Medical Education along with familiarity with education pedagogy.

Experience of working within a postgraduate area and programme experience in medical education is essential, alongside willingness to undertake distance learning development. You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and have strong planning and team management skills.

This programme is delivered in a student-centred manner with timetabled sessions being conducted via our digital learning resources. Therefore, for staff members a flexible approach to work is essential with little or no requirement to be on campus.
