SALARY & HOURS: £26,650 per annum – 40 hours per week

Job Context

We are looking for an experienced Multi trade Operative to join a small Maintenance team carrying out routine, planned and preventative maintenance across the University of Buckingham estates.

We are looking for a general all-rounder who has good attention to detail with a positive can-do attitude, enjoy working in a customer facing role, with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service to our staff, students and guests.

Main duties are including but not limited to:

carry out minor repairs such as furniture, equipment, plumbing repairs, including unblocking sinks, toilets and drains when necessary and minor electrical repairs, i.e. fuses, light bulbs, damaged sockets, Removals and facilities.

Experience or knowledge in Building trades including Heating, Electrical, Carpentry, Brickwork, Plastering, Tiling, Roofing and General Maintenance.

General knowledge of Health & Safety legislation essential.

The ideal candidate would have a flexible approach to working hours and would be expected to take part in our 24hour call out rota
