The role

The Student Journey team is seeking to appoint an Enquiries Manager on a fixed-term contract until 04/10/2024, to lead our applicant-facing Enquiries Team during a critical time in the University calendar.

What will you be doing?

You will lead the 13-strong Enquiries Team, with responsibility for all elements of enquiry management for undergraduate and postgraduate applicants and prospective applicants.

You will build close working relationships with colleagues across the institution, particularly in student recruitment and admissions teams, to ensure the University provides an excellent customer service to enquirers and meets service level agreements. You will also support the delivery of key applicant conversion activity, helping the University recruit the best students and meet its intake targets.

You will lead on the planning and delivery of the University’s UK Confirmation and Clearing call centre in close collaboration with colleagues in IT whilst also working with stakeholders across the institution to play a part in helping accepted applicants start their studies throughout August and September.

You will directly line manage two Enquiries Officers who each lead a sub-team of Enquiries Assistants responsible for either undergraduate or postgraduate enquiries.

You will be a champion and advocate for the Enquiries Team, working to ensure they continue to be known as a high performing team across the institution and to resolve obstacles to their ongoing success.
