The Operations Team at the RNCM welcomes applications for a new full time Estates Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team who are proud to provide an outstanding customer-facing engineering service, in Manchester’s world-renowned music conservatoire and arts centre.

The Engineering service operates between the hours of 07:30 and 16:00 Monday to Friday and provides an essential building wide service in order to ensure that the core functions of our institution are always supported through a carefully managed planned and reactive maintenance service.

Integral to the delivery of the maintenance service, the Estates Systems Engineer will be expected to:

  • Coordinate the management and development of electronic / digital platform systems that are in operation across the RNCM Estate.
  • Oversee the practical delivery of a comprehensive, effective and efficient planned and reactive maintenance service, covering all buildings, systems and plant forming the College’s Estate, providing a high quality, customer focused service in accordance with College and departmental procedures.
  • Oversee the control and supervision of all contractors engaged on site in pursuance of works relating to building services and the building fabric, supporting the Maintenance Manager and the rest of the engineering staff to ensure excellent standards of workmanship and associated compliance.

Proven, practical experience in delivering electrical and mechanical systems maintenance support across a live estate is essential. This role requires the post holder to be part of the on-call rota for a period of one week every 4 weeks.
