The University Secretariat delivers governance services across the University. The Committee Officer will work collaboratively within the University Secretary’s team to ensure an exceptional standard of service delivery, providing critical and seamless support to Council, Senate, Schools, the University Executive and their committees.

Key tasks will include annual planning, agenda drafting, commissioning and drafting papers, drafting minutes, preparing and maintaining action logs, maintaining constitutional documentation and induction of committee members.

The Committee Officer will manage the University's Policy and Procedures Framework, ensuring policies are of a high standard and appropriate to the University's needs. They will support the University’s Internal Audit programme to ensure that all areas of the University are compliant with best practice and legal compliance requirements.

Each of the Team’s Committee Officers has individual areas of responsibility and committee allocation but a team-based approach to working is essential to ensure supporting the University’s governance structure is seamless.
