Job Summary

Target Malaria is looking to hire an experienced SharePoint and Power Platform Developer to join the project. You will have expert-level knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform and all its related tools including, SharePoint, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized SharePoint solutions to enhance collaboration, streamline workflows, and improve overall organizational efficiency across the project with internal and external collaborating institutions.

The role will sit within the Quality Assurance Function of Target Malaria but will work across a broad range of Project stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities

  • You will work closely with the Quality Assurance Function of Target Malaria and other functions/ stakeholders to assess, analysis and understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions using SharePoint and the Power Platforms.
  • You will design, develop and implement a SharePoint and the Power Platforms Project Plan for Target Malaria based on industry best practices and identified gaps and areas for improvement.
  • You will need to design, develop, customize, and maintain SharePoint and Power Platform applications and components, including apps, web parts, workflows, and custom forms while implementing and configuring SharePoint features and functionality to meet Project quality standards and requirements.
  • You will provide technical support to end-users for Microsoft 365 related issues and provide training where needed.
  • You will also need to interact and interface with Imperial College’s ICT for the resolution of issues.

Essential requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, extensive training and experience.
  • Prior experience working as a SharePoint Developer, with a focus on SharePoint Online and the Power Platform.
  • Proficient in SharePoint development tools, including SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and PowerShell.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, security, and best practices.
  • Proficient in Power Platform tools such as PowerApps, Power Automate and Power BI.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Office 365 integration.
  • Excellent organisational skills. Meticulousness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work without close supervision, use own initiative and successfully deliver specialised work.

Further Information

This is a full time, fixed term position until 31 January 2025, with possibility of extension subject to funding.

You will be based remotely, however, you will be required to travel to both Silwood Park Campus, Ascot, and South Kensington Campus as required.

Hybrid working may be considered for this role.  Staff working in roles that are suitable for hybrid working will normally be expected to work 60% of their time onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
