Job Description

We are looking to appoint a talented lecturer to join our collegial team. The successful applicants will contribute to a range of business and management modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  

You’ll have specific expertise in one of these subject areas:

• Managing Data – you’ll lead and teach Excel and numerical business techniques to a range of students.
• Marketing – you’ll lead and teach across several Digital Marketing/Marketing/ Marketing Analytics modules.

About the Role

You will design and deliver teaching content across a range of modules at postgraduate and undergraduate levels in the Business School contributing to curriculum planning and development. You will help guide the focus of teaching in Business and Management to enhance the student experience. You will support the delivery of provision at partner institutions through sharing teaching materials, offering guidance to partnership staff and as required, taking on Link Tutor roles. You will also be engaging in relevant research and/or scholarly activity in support of the university’s research strategy. In addition, you will be supervising or mentoring colleagues with less experience and advising them on personal development.

About You

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable solid grounding in teaching at university level. You will have relevant first and higher degrees to inform and support your role. You will be committed to delivering an outstanding student experience with sound knowledge of professional standards related to your subject specialism as well as experience of working with diverse student cohorts including international students. You will have excellent ICT skills including e-learning tools. You will possess exceptional interpersonal, networking and communication skills, a positive attitude and a flexible approach as well as being a committed and collegiate team player.
