The Role

The School of Art and Design is looking for an Assistant Professor in Product Design who will be principally responsible for delivering and coordinating teaching in Hainan, China, alongside Coventry-based duties.

The School of Art and Design has a very successful suite of courses supported by excellent staff, teaching facilities and laboratories. The school is responsible for the development of a thriving portfolio of local and international teaching. The school has recently begun an exciting new collaboration with the Communications University of China (CUC), and we want to appoint an Assistant Professor to be primarily based in Hainan.

You will be responsible for the delivery and support of learning, teaching, and assessment, and developing a teaching team as the course rolls in over the next three years. To reflect critically on teaching, implement improvements, disseminate good practice, contribute to quality monitoring and enhancement and to professional accreditation processes.

Our Successful Candidate

You should hold a post-graduate degree in Product Design or related subject, but a PhD would be advantageous. Experience of working in Higher Education will be very useful, and good practical skills are required.
