We are looking to recruit a Research Technician to join our research team.
The School of Applied Sciences (SAS) at Huddersfield University has a vibrant and diverse research community consisting of a variety of research centres. The successful candidate will be part of the Centre for Vision across the Life Span (CVLS) and be fully integrated into the technical team of SAS.
You will play a pivotal part in supporting academic staff and postgraduate researchers in the School of Applied Sciences. You will be working as part of the technical team and have responsibility for/provide dedicated support to the department. As a Research Technician, you will work with other members of the technical team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the lab facilities and help prepare and support undergraduate student laboratory experiments.
Educated to degree level or with relevant experience gained through holding a similar role, you will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have significant experience in a variety of laboratory skills including ELISA, sample preparations, handling cell cultures and PCR. You will be able to handle numerical data and have good analytical skills.
