LSE is committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive university
Salary from £40,229 to £48,456 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £52,095 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a permanent role within the Communications Division
LSE is committed to improving the experience of its diverse internal community.
The Staff Communications Manager will play a leading role in engaging staff audiences and advancing LSE 2030 strategic priorities.
The priority for the role holder will be to oversee delivery of excellent and effective central staff communications. Responsible for day-to-day staff communications and channel management, they will collaborate with teams across LSE to develop and deploy creative cross-School communication campaigns. They will also ensure relevant, timely communications, embedding audience focused approaches to support staff experiences and effective two-way engagement.
Candidates should have experience of working in a communications role which involved the development of communications strategies with an understanding of internal audiences. They should be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate to people at all levels and experience of developing communications channels and approaches alongside established ways of working – ideally within the Higher Education sector.
We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
Within the Communications Division, we work in a blended way, with staff working flexibly both on campus and remotely. Colleagues are expected to work from campus two days a week (or more if you prefer), though there may be occasions where you are needed on campus more than twice a week to run events or to participate in or lead in-person sessions.
