Key Information
Salary: Appointments are normally made at the starting salary, however comparable skills and experience will be considered. Future progression is based on annual performance review.
Hours per week: 35 hours per week (Full Time)
Location: Sutton. This role is eligible for hybrid working with at least two days per week on site (this may be more on occasion according to business need). Occasional travel to the Chelsea site may be required.
Job Details
As Registry Administrator, you will be required to support the administration of research degrees, with particular emphasis on PhD recruitment and equality initiatives. The Registry Administrator will work closely with their manager and the Registry Officers, who together form a team that works closely together.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate must have experience undertaking a wide range of office administration activities to deadlines, alongside customer-facing experience. We are looking for a motivated, conscientious and tactful team player with good IT skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload. You will be a good communicator with an interest in equality issues, who will enjoy working with both our students and the academics involved in supporting them.
Department/Directorate Information
The Research Degrees team manages the complete student lifecycle from recruitment to award, for those following the PhD and MD(Res) programmes. The Registry team provides administrative support and policy expertise for the operation of the ICR’s degree programmes, and for clinical research training posts. We also lead on the enhancement of the student experience and the management of strategic education collaborations.
The role of the broader Academic Services directorate is to create an efficient and effective environment for the ICR’s scientific community to flourish. Our services underpin both research and education at the ICR.
