We are recruiting for a Research Fellow within MEMO Research. This is a fixed-term post for up to 12months at 0.4FTE.

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated research fellow to join our team investigating remote decentralised clinical trials (RDCTs) as part of the European Innovative Medicines Initiative funded Trials@home programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Dundee based research team, led by Professor Isla Mackenzie, delivering work package 1 of this study as part of a European consortium. The results of the Trials@home programme will drive the formulation and dissemination of recommendations and tools for the implementation of RDCTs in Europe with the ultimate goal to improve the speed, quality and efficiency of clinical trials, and improving patients’ access to innovative treatment strategies. This would be an ideal position for someone who is keen to broaden their research skills and experience.

MEMO Research delivers observational studies and streamlined clinical trials. Our dynamic and responsive team incorporates a broad range of expertise to deliver innovative research. The post is based in the combined Medicines Monitoring Unit (MEMO Research) & Hypertension Research Centre (HRC) which is part of the Division of Molecular and Clinical Medicine of the University located on the Ninewells Hospital & Medical School site. The unit hosts a variety of research staff including physicians, pharmacists, research nurses, research fellows and support staff.

The University of Dundee enjoys an international reputation for excellence that attracts top-class students and academics from across the world – with over 140 countries represented in the University community. You will be based at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, one of Europe’s largest teaching hospitals where the School of Medicine provides outstanding opportunities in medical education and training supported by world class research facilities.

Your priorities will include:

  • Analysing interviews conducted with industry and academic partners to summarise current position and experience of RDCTs
  • Contributing to the production of project reports and publications
  • Other duties commensurate with the role

Who we’re looking for:

  • Someone who holds a degree or postgraduate degree in scientific or healthcare field
  • Someone who has skills, knowledge and experience of qualitative interviews, qualitative analysis and report writing
