Lecturer - Nursing (GP Nursing)

The key duties of the role holder will be to contribute to the development and delivery of the GP Nursing programme, in addition to academic and pastoral support of students. The role holder will be required to teach the specifics of GP Nursing but may on occasion be required to deliver across all a variety of Nursing discipline subjects, in addition to contributing to recruitment, retention and marketing activities. NMC registration is an essential requirement of this role, in addition to a first degree and preferably a teaching qualification. 

We are particularly interested in candidates from an academic background, who have taught on a similar programme, but all with relevant experience of both clinical practice and education will also be considered. Successful candidates will demonstrate a comprehensive awareness of current developments and challenges within Nursing practice, education and training.

A commitment to undertaking higher level studies e.g., MA, PhD and gaining fellowship of Advance HE is an essential requirement of the role. Please note, with this role there may also be a requirement to contribute to teaching and assessment across the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
