Post Type: Full time, Fixed term 12 months 

We are looking to appoint to this now well established fixed term role within teams recognised for educational excellence in the university and our main partner NHS Provider. More than 60% of the time will be education focused, including teaching undergraduate medical students, supporting their Clinical Neurosciences Placement, contributing to formative and summative assessments, and supporting senior staff in curriculum development and quality assurance of in person, asynchronous and blended learning. This is an ideal career development post with previous appointees going on to obtain national training numbers and/or more senior academic posts. Time for professional development and clinical activities commensurate with experience is also offered. 

Key attributes of the successful applicant include:

  • Successful completion of core training, with prior experience in a relevant clinical neuroscience discipline
  • Considering or pursuing a career in a relevant neurosciences speciality  
  • GMC registration and MRCP/MRCS (including PACES) or equivalent 
  • Experience of, and interest in medical education and/or a future academic career
  • Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills
  • Excellent teamworking skills, with ability to work independently when required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Committed to embedding practices which embrace diversity
