Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Internal Communications manager to join the Communications & External Affairs team and report into the Senior Communications Manager (Internal Communications).
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and creative Internal Communications Manager who will manage and support a wide range of internal communications within the HR/Organisational Development (OD)/Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Directorate which supports King’s strategic ambition to build a thriving staff community and to raise awareness of the staff experience for current and prospective employees. The role will include developing and implementing a communications channel and content strategy to support communications within the directorate and with key audiences and stakeholders across the University.
The successful candidate will take a proactive and collaborative approach to delivering communications and have a thorough working knowledge and experience of a broad range of communications planning and activities, with a particular focus on generating content for internal audiences.
Using their excellent writing and storytelling skills, problem solving and hands on experience, they will create innovative content, using a variety of formats to amplify the voices of King’s staff community and bring King’s Strategy 2026 priority of a Thriving Staff Community to life.
